Field teams rarely sit at a desk. Coordinators live in a browser, programme staff want something that does not compete with twenty other tabs, and the person collecting evidence is often standing somewhere with no bars on the phone.
So the platform comes in three forms — web, desktop and mobile — reading and writing the same records. Plans are priced by country, so see the pricing page for what applies to your organisation.
Nothing to install
The web app is the full platform in your browser. There is no software to roll out across your team, no local install to keep patched, and no version to chase when someone joins — you send them a link and they are working. It runs on the machines your staff and partners already have.
A desktop app that stays out of the way
The desktop app is native to macOS, Windows and Linux, and it exists for one reason: focus. It gives long stretches of writing, reviewing and reporting their own window, away from the tab clutter of a browser. It works online against the same platform, so what you open there is the live record, not a local copy.
Field work where there is no signal
The mobile app is built for the trip out, not the write-up afterwards. Evidence records, GPS positions and budget entries are captured on the device and queue there while you are out of coverage, then sync once you are back online. Photo upload is the one thing that needs a connection, so plan for those to go up when you return.
The same records, wherever you opened them
Web, desktop and mobile are not three separate products with three separate stores of data. A budget line entered on a phone in the field is the same line a coordinator reviews in the browser that evening. Nothing has to be exported, re-keyed or reconciled between devices.
